Different types of agreements

REG-agreements: This is long term agreements up to three years. The Embassy has delegated responsibility negotiating these agreements.

GAP- agreements: This is shorter term agreements (one year funding) and/or agreements with a higher risk level.  The Embassy has delegated responsibility for negotiating these agreements.

MULTI-agreements: This is core support to multilateral organisations. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs negotiate these agreements

HUM – agreements concerning different types of humanitarian programmes. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs negotiate these agreements

NORAD – agreements is program NGO-agreements (samarbeidsavtaler) negotiated by Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation in Oslo. Each agreement will cover several countries including Afghanistan.

CULTURE-agreements: Short term agreement (one year funding). There is a divided responsibility between The Embassy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs for negotiating these agreements.

As for 2007

GENDER-agreements:  This is part of the 2007 (not yet included in the overview) budget which relates to special programs focusing women in Afghanistan . The Embassy has delegated responsibility for negotiating these agreements.
